NO-CONTEST PLEA IN GYM SLAYING: A man has pleaded no contest to second-degree murder for bludgeoning a fellow gym member to death with a metal bar.

Kenneth Osako, 47, entered his plea Tue in San Mateo County Superior Court in connection with the slaying of 43-year-old Diego Galindo of San Bruno.

Galindo, who worked as a butcher at Carniceria Tepa in South San Francisco, died the next day at San Francisco General Hospital.
